ENRS Committee Descriptions
The ENRS Awards Committee is responsible for soliciting and reviewing nominations & applications for all awards offered by the Society. The Committee is also responsible for reviewing poster and paper presentations by students at the Annual Scientific Sessions and administering awards.
The ENRS Bylaws Committee is responsible for reviewing annually the bylaws of the Society, ensuring that active policies and procedures are in congruence with the bylaws and making recommendations to the ENRS Board of Directors for amendments, alterations or omissions of provisions or articles.
The ENRS Communications Committee is responsible for overseeing the general marketing, communications and branding of the Society along with the development of the quarterly newsletter.
The ENRS Conference Planning Committee is responsible for planning the annual ENRS Scientific Sessions. The ENRS Scientific Sessions serve as the major forum for the dissemination of research, generation of new novel investigations, fostering of networking/team science, and discussion of translation of research to evidence-based practice offered by the Society. The Conference Committee Chair shall assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and implementing the annual ENRS Scientific Sessions in conjunction with the ENRS executive office.
The ENRS IDEA Committee is responsible for strategies to advance diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility across ENRS in relation to its mission to promote innovative nursing science.
The ENRS Membership Committee is responsible for promoting membership in ENRS, assessing the needs of the membership annually, encouraging a network of peer support and developing and implementing a plan to increase the visibility of ENRS.
The ENRS Nominating Committee is responsible for facilitating the nominating procedure for Board and Committee positions; screening applicants to be placed in nomination, presenting a slate of multiple candidates for each open position (when viable) to the membership for voting and review, maintaining and updating committee policies and procedures to facilitate the elections process.
The ENRS Organizational Development Committee is responsible for identifying and soliciting funding sources for the Society; assisting with fundraising related to the annual Scientific Sessions and other Board initiatives; and identifying partnership opportunities.
The ENRS Student Discovery Network was created to start facilitating connections between students and the nurse research community, fostering career advancement opportunities, and providing a supportive community with a focus on professional growth and empowering aspiring nurse researchers.
